Marc W. Ingersoll, J.D.
Mr. Ingersoll is the managing partner of Ingersoll & Hicks, PLLC. The focus of his practice is in the areas of wills and trusts, elder law, estate administration, business and tax law. His experience includes the preparation of simple and complex estate planning documents advising clients of the transfer tax consequences of various estate planning transactions; the establishment of new limited liability companies (LLC’S) and corporations; and the representation of clients in estate administration. Mr. Ingersoll has experience in guardianship appointments, planned giving and the formation of charitable trusts and foundations.
Additionally, Mr. Ingersoll lectures other attorneys on business and estate planning issues on behalf of the North Carolina State Bar and the National Business Institute, and has written numerous articles on estate planning.
Mr. Ingersoll received his undergraduate degree from Bob Jones University (B.S. in Accounting 1986) and he received his Juris Doctor, graduating with distinction, from the Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D. 1990). Mr. Ingersoll is a member of the Forsyth County Bar, North Carolina Bar Association and North Carolina Bar, a member of the Elder Law, Taxation and Business Sections of the North Carolina Bar, and is also a member of The Estate Planning Council of Winston-Salem. Mr. Ingersoll is also a member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Mr. Ingersoll has been married for over 20 years. He has three children. The oldest, Jessica, is a sophomore in college, studying Elementary Education. Meagan is a sophomore in high school, and the newest addition, Samuel, who is four years old.
